Structure of Screw Filter Press for Sludge Dewatering
The screw filter press consists of fixed rings, moving rings and screws. The front part is for thickening; the rear part is for dewatering. The filtering space between the fixed ring with the moving ring, the screw pitch are becoming more and more small from the front part to the rear part. The screw pushes the slurry forward, and at the same time, the screw will move around orbicular to avoid blocks. We are professional screw filter press manufacturer.
Working Steps of Screw Filter Press for Sludege Dewatering:
1.Flocculating:
The waste water will flow into the mixing tank with flocculant. Then the solid will flocculate to big particles.
2.Dewatering:
The flocculated waste water will flow into the screws. The clean free water will discharged through the gaps between the rings, however, the solids are blocked and deposit. With the movement of screw, the solids are transported to the outlet.At the same time the screw pitch is going to smaller, thus to squeeze the solids, so that finish the dewatering function.
3.Cake Discharge
The filter cakes are pushed out by the screw to discharge cakes.
4. Self Washing:
With the continuous rotation of screws, the rings are driven to move circular. And the water will spray the external side of the rings to refresh the filtering performance avoiding block.
