Introduction of Filter Press
The Cast iron filter press machine is made of high-quality cast iron or nodular cast iron. There are two kinds of filter plates to choose from Cast iron chamber plate or cast iron frame plate. The former is an upgraded version of the latter, which is more convenient and labor-saving.
Structure and Operating Principle of Cast Iron Filter Press
1. Filter press consists of frame, filter plate, pressing system (manual, mechanical or hydraulic ), and electric control cabinet.
2. Filter plates are made of cast iron, and installed on the beam between the tail plate and push plate.
3. In operation, after filter cloth installation, the cast iron filter plate is closed to form the filter chamber that is driven by the closing device. Material is pumped into the filter chamber. The solid will be blocked by a filter cloth, and the liquid is discharged through the filter cloth. Stop the feed pump and open the filter plate, and the filter cakes are discharged.
4. Liquid flow of the cast iron filter press can be divided into the open flow (open filtrate) and closed filtrate (undercurrent flow). Open filtrate refers to that the filtrate is discharged directly from the tap of every filter plate; Closed filtrate refers to that the filtrate from every chamber is collected and discharged out of the chamber together by a liquid outlet.

1. The filter plate is made of cast iron, it can resist high pressure, and has a long service life.
2. Cast iron filter plate ensures its strong resistance to high temperature, the applicable temperature can reach 200 ºC.
3. The main beam is made of high-quality carbon steel with sandblasting processing, not easy to out of shape, high intensity, and corrosion resisting.
4. Its compressing way is by hydraulic pressure, which is simple and easy to operate, saving labor.
